Purpose: Mindfulness is defined as receptive and non-judgmental awareness of what is happening in the current moment. The aim of the present study was the effectiveness of mindfulness-based therapy on the general and social health of second-year secondary school girls in Piranshahr. Method: experimental research method and two-group research design with pre-test and post-test. The statistical population included all female students of second secondary level in Piranshahr city. Sampling was done in a cluster manner with a volume of 30 people. The people who had obtained the highest score in the general health questionnaire (GHQ-28) were selected, and they were divided into two experimental and control groups by a simple random method. The experimental group received eight mindfulness sessions between pre-test and post-test, and the control group did not receive any intervention. Findings: The research findings were analyzed using the covariance analysis method. The data indicated a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of the experimental group. In other words, mindfulness training has been effective on the general and social health of girls, and participation in this training course has led to the improvement of public and social health.
