Abstract
Background and Aims: This study was conducted with the aim of comparing response inhibition (interference score and interference time)in students with and without dyslexia in primary school in Ghaemshahr
Method: This research method was a causal comparative (post-event) study, and the statistical population of the present study consisted of students with and without dyslexia in Ghaemshahr. 25 people were selected as samples using purposive sampling and based on the Cochran formula. The two groups were matched based on age, gender, and educational level. In this study, the Stroop Word and Color Test (WISC-IV) was used to compare response inhibition. The research hypotheses were analyzed using the statistical method of comparing two groups' t-test and analysis of variance using SPSS-26 software.
Findings: The findings showed that the response inhibition (interference score) of the normal students group was lower than that of dyslexia students. And (interference time) of the normal students group is more than the students with dyslexia and there is a difference in response inhibition in students with and without dyslexia problems in the elementary school in Ghaemshahr (P=0.001).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that the response inhibition (interference score) of the normal students group is less than the dyslexia students. And (interference time) of the normal students group is more than the dyslexia students.
