Abstract
Background and Aim: Children experience problems such as anxiety and lack of self-efficacy, which require psychological interventions to reduce these problems, such as training non-violent communication patterns of parents. The purpose of this study was the effect of training non-violent communication model of parents on anxiety and self-efficacy of primary school femal students
Methods: The research method was quantitative in nature, applied in purpose, and quasi-experimental in pre-test-post-test type with a heterogeneous control grou. The statistical population was all of sixth grade female students of elementary school in Babol city in 2023-2024, and 30 people (15 people in the experimental group and 15 people in the control group) were selected as a statistical sample using available sampling method. were evaluated with Spence Anxiety (1999) and Bandora et al Self-Efficacy Questionnaires (1996). For data analysis, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and multivariate analysis of covariance were utilized with SPSS software version 27.
Results: The results showed that training non-violent communication model has an effect on the anxiety and self-efficacy of primary school femal students. The effect size of this impact was 0.46 for anxiety and 0.37 for self-efficacy (P<0.01).
Conclusion: Consequently, training non-violent communication model is an effective modality for reducing anxiety and Increasing self-efficacy among Sixth-grade primary school femal students. Therefore, it is recommended that training non-violent communication model sessions be prioritized in education programs.
